On the past January 13^th, the 3^rd General Assembly of BioData.pt Management Board took place at i3S, Porto. All the partners were represented, namely, CCMAR, CEBAL, Champalimaud Foundation, ELIXIR Board, iBET, IBMC, IGC, INESC-ID, IST, IST-ID, ITQB, PI, Pbio, and University of Minho.

The Assembly started with the presentation of the BioData.pt 2017-2019 Report, reviewing past activities, overviewing ongoing projects and funding status. Moreover, a review of the recommendations of BioData.pt Scientific Advisory Board was made.

The presentation was followed by very participated discussion on different subjects: the sustainability and future of the infrastructure, what can BioData.pt do more for national users and as the Portuguese Node of the ELIXIR, scope and vision and business model of BioData.pt, and interaction with the Industry.

The Assembly assigned five priorities to be followed by the executive board: shared computing infrastructure, distributed training in bioinformatics and national dissemination of BioData.pt tools and expertise via Crash-Courses programs, data management, namely that "Ready for Biodata Management?" to the national research and academic community, clarify access and offer of BioData.pt services, and the engagement with the Industry.

The BioData-pt 2017-2019 Report was approved unanimously.
